I’ve been using a digital calendar for many years, but when it comes to planning my blog, social media and email campaigns, I much prefer a paper planner.
This year I’ve been using a momAgenda 12-Month Planner, and it’s one of the highest quality planners I’ve ever used. Read my review to learn about the momAgenda Planner and how I’m using it.
Although momAgenda’s weekly grid was exactly the layout I wanted at the time, I’m ready to trade writing space for the ability to see my schedule at a glance and have decided to try a monthly grid for next year.
This meant finding a planner with the following features:
- Monthly layout, with the grid spanning across two pages
- Pleasant to look at and touch
- Not too expensive, since it’s not something I’ll be using all day every day
- Lines within each date, so I can easily include content for more than one platform per day – this is not as common as you might think!
I decided that the POPRUN Monthly Planner would best meet my wants and needs, and here are my impressions so far.
The Outside

I really like coil-bound planners and notebooks, especially for use at my desk, but I settled for the hardcover as it was the only one that had lines within the date boxes.
It was fun choosing from ten colour options, and I went for the Light Pink for a change from my usual dark blue.
The faux leather cover isn’t textured like the momAgenda, so it’s not quite as pleasing to touch, but at a much lower price point, I didn’t expect it to be.
Folks who will be carrying the planner around with them might appreciate the pen holder and inside storage pocket.
The Inside
The paper quality is excellent, but the monthly tabs are made of the same paper, with no reinforcement, so I’m not sure how well they’ll stand up. On the other hand, the bottom corners are perforated, and I’m hoping that by tearing off past months will mean less wear and tear on the tabs.
With only a couple of months left in 2026, I’ve begun entering some of my blog topics and other things for next year.

Each monthly layout includes small calendars for the month before and month after, as well as a column on the left side which will be a great place to note anything that doesn’t pertain to a specific day.
Two lined pages for even more notes appear after each monthly calendar, with a few extra pages at the end. This might be a good place to recap what worked well and what didn’t during the month as an aid to future planning.
The only additional section is a list of 2027 and 2028 holidays for the United States, Canada, the UK and Ireland, which can be useful.
What’s really great is that it runs from January 2027 to June 2028, so I won’t have to replace it for a long time!
Overall
So far, I’m pleased with my choice. The POPRUN Monthly Planner has the layout I wanted, with enough room to plan content for multiple platforms and a monthly overview that lets me see what’s coming up at a glance.
It doesn’t have quite the same luxurious feel as the momAgenda, but I wasn’t looking for something so upscale this time around. For planning my blog posts, social media and email campaigns, this looks like a good fit for my needs without spending more than necessary.
A monthly planner isn’t for everyone, of course. If you prefer more space for daily appointments and tasks, POPRUN also offers daily and weekly formats as well as notebooks and lesson planners for teachers.
